Kazi Dora Shooting Curve
thingiverse
Kazi, a Chinese brand of Lego-compatible brick sets, has recently unveiled KY10005, a unique model of the massive German railway gun "Dora". Although I'm not the owner of this model and don't have personal interest in it, I'm thrilled with the included straight narrow gauge Lego tracks. However, the Dora didn't require straight tracks; instead, it needed a shooting curve for precise aiming. To create a proper display for your Dora, I've designed some printable track pieces. You can choose from two solutions: small and big. The small version requires modifying the model to separate the bogies into multiple moving parts. Take a look at the picture of the longest car that can run on 104 nubs radius to see how it works. The big version, on the other hand, should work with the unmodified model but has a much larger radius - 648 nubs. Both solutions come in two parts: an inner and an outer part, each with a 10-nub difference in radius as required for the model. The inner part is marked with "I" on the bottom of the middle sleeper, while the outer part features a circle ("O" for outer) to make identification easier. Since I don't own the Kazi Dora model, I couldn't test these parts with it. However, I did test them with Lego & Kazi narrow gauge wheels and Kazi straight tracks, and they worked great! If you try these with your actual Kazi Dora, please provide some feedback so we can see how they perform in real-world scenarios.
