Kayak Seat Fix for Ozark Trail
thingiverse
Here is my version of a seat fix for the Ozark Trail Pro Angler 12' Kayak. For heavy guys, the seat will sometimes come out of the side braces in the elevated position. I've seen some videos online where people bend a 1/4 steel plate and bolt it to the kayak, but that's not my style. I didn't want to alter mine or put extra holes in it, so I came up with my own upgrade solution. I designed a spacer that gets placed between the current brace and the kayak shell. No extra holes are required in the kayak - it's a seamless fix. Simply print, unbolt the current seat bracket, place the spacer, and reuse the seat bracket and re-fasten the screws. Available in RH and LH versions, the design prints flat side down with no supports needed. I printed 100% infill, but to be honest, I'm not sure if that much strength was necessary.
