Two sturdy 2 inch hex head bolts provide a strong hold on the CoreBar, thanks to an angled print design that maximizes multi-directional strength. Initial tests indicate that PLA parts hold up well under stress, having survived a 30 minute highway trip without any issues. However, users may want to consider upgrading to more durable materials like ABS or nylon for added peace of mind. No thorough strength analysis has been conducted on these parts, so users must exercise caution when using this design. It's also worth noting that the Kayak Mount interface might not seamlessly integrate with every kayak model, due to varying foam thickness. Adding thicker foam on top of the mount interface can help mitigate this problem and ensure a smooth fit.
