Kayak In-hull Transducer Mount for Garmin Striker 4
thingiverse
This design is used to mount a Garmin Striker 4 transducer into a kayak. I had originally used the mounting sponge that came with the Striker 4 kit, but I found that in choppy waves the water in the mount sponge that enables the transducer to transmit and listen through the hull emptied out, creating unusable readings. Using this mount, I have not had any issues on choppy Lake Ontario water. I installed the base in my kayak using duct seal putty. The top is held down using an elastic band. The buttons for holding the band and the post for supporting the transducer are attached using M3 screws and nuts. I printed the gears that hold the transducer in place and the support post using extra fine detail
