Kayak Fishing Stake Out Pole (1/2" EMT)
thingiverse
If you spend a lot of time shallow-water kayak (or small boat) fishing, then you already know what a stake-out-pole is. If not, a stakeout pole is an anchor replacement in water that's too shallow for it to be anchored. You drive the pole into the dirt or sand and clip a line between the pole and the boat. This one uses 1/2" EMT available at your local home improvement shop for very little money. I'm using a 4' pole with some para cord and aluminum carabiners. The point of the pole fits extremely well, but you can add sealant to keep it water-tight. The mid-pole tie-off should be able to slide easily when pushed. The top also fits tightly and some sealant may be a good idea. In addition to staking out during fishing, I use a second copy of these with additional carabiners as a flagpole at the beach.
