Kayak Cart ABS Axle Spacers

These are custom-printed axle spacers for "The Kayak Cart". https://www.thekayakcart.com/ I needed a cart that would be simple to use and easy to store inside our Sea Kayaks. The Kayak Cart with 7" wheels fits perfectly inside the rear dry bays of our Delta 16 and Delta 17 Kayaks, but they aren't ideal for portaging over sand. They make an 11" model for $10 more, but it won't fit in our storage compartments without taking it apart. I wanted to have the option to use 7" wheels on flat surfaces for easy stashing inside the kayaks and switch to 11" size when sand is a factor, common in Florida. I contacted the company; they said they could assemble a kit with wheels, axle, and spacers for $50 if we purchased the 7" model. It was easier and less expensive to pay the extra $10 for the 11" model. The parts needed are readily available at Home Depot: common Lawnmower wheels ($8.98 each) and 1/2" x 36" Aluminum Rod ($7.21). For $22.57 per cart, we can switch to 7". The only thing needed is custom-printed spacers that I designed for the 7" cart and an improved set for my original 11" wheels. The spacer that comes with the cart doesn't fit well at all. If you're into Kayaking, there are many carts available, including DIY ones we've made. Although it's expensive, these carts are suitable for storing inside the Kayak. You don't always end up where you started, so leaving the Carts behind isn't an option. Enjoy...
