Kaval in D (Bulgarian Flute)
thingiverse
Bulgarian Kaval in D. To print it I used Zig-Zag Supports everywhere with a Density of 10% to 15% and Adhesion with all the peace's. Wall Line Count as 4 with Wall Thickness of 0.8 mm. In this case the infill doesn't matter since the total wall count is greater than the wall thickness, however I left it as 20%. Probably the most important thing is to make a sharp edge on the mouth piece with the sand paper (refer to last photo). The joints required a little bit of work with the sand paper but it fits pretty well once the layer lines are smoothened (my advice is to test the fit regularly, since you don't want to make the joints lose, however if you do make them lose you can always wrap sewing threat around the male joint). For best results I would suggest to roll a piece of sand paper to a cylinder and smoothen the inside diameter surface of all the individual pieces very well, since the sound is being produced from the inside. Lastly, I've uploaded Kaval D part 1 for those of you who have taller printers, where Part 2 and Part 3 remains the same, just substitute Part 1.1 + Part 1.2 with Part 1. Overall, the recommendations listed above are applicable to both versions.
