Kauai Relief Maps

New relief maps for Kauai and Niihai are available, replacing the earlier versions (thing:106099). Additionally, a high-resolution map of Kauai's north coast has been provided. The three maps include: - Kauai_step.stl with 140 x 190 points at 12 arc second intervals, - Niihau_step.stl with 200 x 200 points at 6 arc second intervals, and - Kauai_coast.stl featuring 175 x 175 points at 1 arc second intervals. Data sources are NOAA for the first two maps (http://www.ngdc.noaa.gov/mgg/dem/demportal.html) and USGS National Map for the high-resolution map (http://viewer.nationalmap.gov/viewer/). Instructions on how to use the programs can be found in things 106099 and 116103. The maps are best printed directly onto the build platform, with the north Kauai coast's approximate location being 22°9' N Latitude, 159°40' W Longitude, which can be easily found using Google Earth due to its distinctive features.
