Kathmandu Streets and Buildings 3D model

This realistic buildings and streets setup of Kathmandu, Nepal is based on real data. Therefore it's a precise representation of the cityscape. Ten building groups are divided into top and side parts of the buildings allowing for varied building options in terms of color, materials, and textures. Groups can be turned off or on. UVs are mapped with overlapping sections. The model lies flat on its surface - there is no elevation data included. Geometry consists of polygonal quads and tris. The 3D model renders quickly because it's untextured. It's available under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareALike 2.0 license (CC-BY-SA) which permits commercial use. Building and streets data comes from OpenStreetMap, www.openstreetmap.orgAttribution : ¤ OpenStreetMap contributors / http://www.openstreetmap.org/copyrightPOINTS/VERTS : 1,719,072POLYGONS : 1,144,439-.c4d - native format-.3ds-.fbx - v7.1-.dae - v1.5-.obj The term "streets" in the title means the space between buildings. It is not a separate 3D model. There are other models available called XYZ Road Network and Streets, where streets are actual 3D models. You can check the details of every model by watching the preview images. That's exactly what you will get on purchase - the 3D model which you see on the preview images.Buildings may be missing if there is no data available for certain parts of the city depending on how far along data processing is going. These missing parts might become available later and when they do an update to the model will be added - free of charge if you've already purchased it.Although the 3D model shows buildings that really exist, some may not have been built yet due to urban planning projects aimed at designing the city's future. There is also this possibility with terrain 3D models that are available when purchasing the original 3D model. Those models which come as sets with other 3D models of roads and buildings are compatible - just copy and paste. It's always stated in the description if they work together. This compatibility will only increase over time.If you have need for a Streets and Buildings XYZ model along with Road Network XYZ 3D model but aren't compatible because they are different cities or locations, don't hesitate to ask what we can do about it. Usually, such requests take priority. All models that display a city in minimal style show almost precise streets alignments as well as exact building heights excluding those areas where there is no sufficient data to create 3D geometry for them. These are therefore useful for lots of projects but won't allow you to build highly precise urban spaces. The above mentioned 3D models aren't designed for printing on a 3D printer. You'll get exactly what's displayed in the preview image when purchasing. Don't forget to adjust lighting since none is included.Lighting setup isn't required because there's software provided by free render studio for those models - either in .c4d (native) or .fbx format.Cinema4d is pre-configured for this and .dae &/or .fbx will have the parameters you'll need for your 3D model setup available - so that you can render with ease.Download it from this site https://www.cgtrader.com/free-3d-models/various/model-download/render-studio-for-cinema4dIf unsure or have doubts before purchasing a model, check the preview image and 3D model description. If not entirely sure then don't hesitate to ask for help. The team will respond with answers you're searching for.City project is courtesy of Boscorelli. Find it here www.boscorelli.net
