Her greatest hope is that the castle will be restored to its former glory, a notion that fills her with worry and concern for the family treasures destroyed during and after the brutal assault. She serves as our first connection to the artefacts unearthed on-site when Caerlaverock was previously excavated. The lady-in-waiting speaks about the exquisite Syrian glass discovered at the old castle, a testament to its rich history. The lady-in-waiting is Lady Maxwell's trusted personal assistant and devoted companion, also serving as her secretary. She provides invaluable practical support, carrying messages for her mistress or being entrusted with valuable jewelry.
