In the savannahs of Northern Katashaka, the cunning Al-mi'raj (also known as the blink bunny or unicorn rabbit to some) is renowned for wielding extraordinary powers not seen in its Chult counterparts. Notably, these powers exhibit considerable variation. Nevertheless, many Al-mi'raj possess the remarkable ability to "hop" through short-range teleportation, making them a captivating creature to pursue and capture. Some are even known to unleash perilous spell-like abilities when threatened, such as sudden bursts of speed in combat, the capacity to discharge lightning from their horns, or the power to enthrall adversaries. Consequently, the enchanting creatures have earned reluctant admiration from wizards who discovered Katashaka after its transfer to Abeir during the Spellplague. Their hides, horns, and even skeletons have been meticulously studied by necromancers in both the tharchs of the Western Pridelands and New Eltabbar, resulting in this staff crafted from a collection of their parts. Its primary orb is a glass crystal designed for scrying purposes, while its red gems are a rare variant of quartz mined in Katashaka known as "blood quartz", which serves primarily as a decorative element rather than a source of significant magical power.
