Katana with Sheath
thingiverse
I really wanted to make this project work, but our mini+ printer has its limitations, forcing me to downsize significantly to accommodate its constraints. Unfortunately, the guard included with the other size was a design misstep in my opinion, so I opted to create my own instead. Cutting the original piece in half required me to add new holes for a rod, which added an extra layer of complexity to the project. The existing sheath posed another challenge, as it lacked holes on the pre-cut sections, leaving me puzzled about how to align them properly. For now, I've resorted to gluing the separate parts together. To give users more flexibility, I designed the sword guard separately, allowing for customization with their own designs if desired. However, I'm currently struggling with blade 1, as drilling holes into it has proven to be a frustrating task. The section remains hole-less for now, but I plan to persevere and explore alternative methods, such as using a drill or another tool, to overcome this obstacle.
