Katana - Seven Interlocking Pieces

Katana - Seven Interlocking Pieces

This was designed to be a Halloween prop that could easily fit into a backpack. Purchase two 3/16" wooden dowels for $0.34 each at Home Depot, or you can get them for 27 cents at Wal Mart like I did. Cut 12 dowels to 65mm and insert them into each blade section. To complete the prop, add your own finishing touches such as wrapping the handle with leather and painting the blade. Check out phatzero's version on thingiverse.com/thing:1096169 for a four-piece sheath that can also be printed for this model. When swinging the sword with its edge leading, it performs well. When swung sideways, however, it tends to wobble.
