Katana Holder
thingiverse
My friend possesses an antique katana, and he desired to showcase it attractively on his wall within a sturdy yet minimalist pair of displays. I crafted this two-part holder incorporating a concealed anchor that is screwed into the wall for support. The primary component of the holder slides over the top of the anchor, entirely concealing it along with the screws to create a smooth appearance. The OpenScad file encompasses the code required for generating the holder and the anchor in case someone intends to alter its dimensions or adapt it for a different application. It was specifically designed to fit my friend's sheathed katana. A variable within the file allows you to choose between creating the holder or the anchor object. For clarity, both the left and right holders are identical, meaning you simply need to print each item twice. I applied paint to give it a faux bronze finish.
