The scene is specifically designed for use within Autodesk's 3ds Max software and V-Ray Next rendering engine. The images contained within this model were generated utilizing V-Ray Next. For users employing older versions of V-Ray, the results may vary. Preview images included are actual render outputs. All measurements in the system unit remain in centimeters. DISCLAIMER The artist has optimized this model specifically for use within Autodesk's 3ds Max software paired with V-Ray Next rendering engine. All materials contained within the scene are formatted as V-Ray materials. Similarly, all lighting elements are established using V-Ray lights. Users should be aware that material settings formulated using V-Ray may not correctly translate to other export formats. Using this model in conjunction with alternative software and renderers is not supported by the original artist. Results produced from utilizing different software and rendering methods may also differ significantly. It's essential to note that support for usage with various software and renderers will be provided exclusively by the artist. GEOMETRY This 3D model features a stack of buildings that has been collapsed. All individual objects are labeled, arranged in organized layers. Utilizing these distinct layers helps organize components like (buildings, highway, railroad, water). Preview images should be examined to better comprehend this organizational structure. Regrettably, due to restrictions from importation or the absence of OpenStreetMap data, not all buildings are included in this scene. Upon reviewing the preview images, you can view areas that have been covered. Note that only basic information regarding landmarks was available; more details might have been missing. As a result, certain landmarks aren't fully developed. Additionally, please note that the 3D model is represented using a flat format without any form of height information being incorporated into the scene. To give you an idea of how densely these models were rendered, each tree comprises (1,712,000 - 898,800) Polycount/Vertices units combined within. They are depicted in the Object Properties menu under 'Box' classification. Furthermore, the position of these trees on the map is at their actual location coordinates using real world scale values for better mapping realism and context. In relation to lighting within this model environment setup, everything was laid flat down at zero-point origin coordinates for 0x, 0y & 0z respectively. To further clarify some additional items of importance about what is going on: The entire project uses V-Ray Material formats only. This should assist other interested parties learn the overall organization better within a visual space such as Autodesk Maya to export properly too; this will save their precious computer's memory when creating anything from scratch afterwards by eliminating useless information from appearing there like an unexpected bug in code. Note, however all images contained within are V-Ray Render Outputs - they might appear with minor variations on different computers which could vary depending how your personal computer was made up so no one knows really except me since we created it ourselves from nothing and we still see those differences too. This helps maintain authenticity towards reality itself while ensuring correct scaling ratios always throughout. For example all lights you see (such as V-Ray sun/sky lighting systems setup by myself) - linear color workflow has been used which translates easily between 2D software products because this is one common language used everywhere and also supports back-and-forth exporting smoothly too, since linear makes life a bit more enjoyable. So just be glad its made that easy to import models here today then. In Autodesk 3ds Max it goes something like so; it uses Linear Color space which you should be able find right now inside options under settings, render tab in the scene. Lastly don't get scared from my explanations as they do get lengthy because if not everyone understood how a given program could function perfectly, no problem - at least here on our side that’s not gonna be an issue. FORMAT Only 3ds Max version of 2017 is utilized within this entire workflow; however models produced can still safely work using those slightly higher max versions 3dmodel rendering engine support (down from current) and all the usual file formats such as FBX & OBJ were included with it because most users seem very much keen upon utilizing this type of exchange since everyone just knows their ways by now.
