sketchfab
The Chapel of the Archangel Michael was designed after the Chapel of the Archangel in Kizhi Island, Russia, incorporating elements from the Chapel of the Holy Face. It was relocated to Kizhi Island in 1961 from Lelikozero village and measures 12.0x3.0x11.0 meters with a rectangular frame extending east to west and two sloping roofs above it. A belfry topped by a pyramid-shaped roof is situated above the entrance hall of the chapel. The iconostasis, a distinctive feature of the chapel, consists of two levels and holds 17th-18th century icons.
