Pod/Canopy for Karearea Talon PR: Bringing the Camera Back to the Front of the Stack The pod/canopy brings the camera back to the front of the stack, featuring a fin that enhances both turtle mode and cornering capabilities. Important Note: This pod has been extensively tested on a track setup within a well-maintained sports field. As such, crashes are primarily limited to gates, flags, and soft grass. Designed for 19mm cameras with an 8mm lens, this pod includes a hole inside the fin for accommodating a dipole whip antenna. Camera Angle Range: The camera angle range is between 45-65 degrees, but it can be widened using a Dremel if needed. Additionally, a Dremel may be necessary if the lens is shorter and the pod obstructs its view. Materials Tested: We have experimented with various materials, including 95 Shore Hardness TPU. However, we highly recommend PolyMax PLA by Polymaker with an 80% infill for optimal results. This material offers superior strength compared to regular PLA and ABS, while minimizing layer separation issues. Note on Materials: For 95 Shore Hardness TPU, the walls would require thicker printing due to its more rigid nature. We have provided an updated STL file with slightly thicker walls in most areas, but it has yet to be tested. This revised version may prove more suitable for 95 Shore Hardness TPU. Feedback Requested: We invite users to share their experiences and feedback on using alternative materials for this pod/canopy.
