I possess two 8mm threaded rods on my Mendel Max, necessitating a modification of the original design. The motor side shafts are 5mm. To assemble, drill 3mm holes for the cube and secure the motors with M3 nuts and screws. Next, attach the rod to the threaded rod mount piece (glue optional) and place the cube in the motor mount's center. Thread 3mm filament through the mount and cube holes. For the top mount, use two pieces on each side due to the blocked middle hole from the motor-mount filament.
