Karak 2 insert for resources

Update 1, April 8 2024:added a slot for the pestilence marker (my family complained about it flying somewhere around the table when not active)added a slightly bigger slot for defeated praetoriansadded a simple lid (in case those wobbly transparent thingies break…). Print it upside down without supports and you'll be fine.I like the Karak 2 game very much - it is essentally "Karak meets Catan", mixing the best of these two worlds. However, the box inserts are… In bad need of improvement.I redesigned the “bank” insert (the one you take resources from).has the same outer dimensions as the original insert, you can still put it into the game box and use the transparent lidmuch more sturdy than the original one (not really a challenge to achieve…)the bins for trees/pigs/stones are now much more shallow, allowing easier access. They are still deep enough for “bigger resources” (https://www.printables.com/model/652136-karak-2-bigger-resources); there is one downside - the resources (pigs/stones/trees) now more easily travel between the bins if the box is flipped over. Keep that in mind, or use “big resources”.the “heroes” dice are now in one layer and can therefore be retrieved easily without any pincersif you want the insert to be even heavier, I implemented two inserts for M8 nuts. Have your slicer pause the print just after the inserts have been printed, before the first covering layer (layer 62 on my xmax3 with 0.16 layer height), and insert the nuts - standard and self-securing nuts should both fit (I tested with self-securing ones only though).Print settings:15% infill (at least some infill is needed to support the bottoms of the bins).16mm layers worked great (for 0.16, the gcode pause had to be at layer 62); 0.20 should be fine, too. I wouldn't recommend going to 0.30 because the resource bin ramps will probably be too rough then.in order to save time, I did not use ironingfor smaller printers (I printed on an X-Max3, with its huge dimensions, and the insert is 290mm), you should be able to cut the model between the resource bins and the unit dice bins and then glue them togetherpick whatever material looks and feels best, there is no need for any additional stability; I used PLA.
