The Kar 98k is a German bolt-action rifle that saw extensive service during World War II. Chambered in 7.92x57mm Mauser, it features a long, smooth walnut stock with a distinctive curved shape. The action itself is a modified Mauser Model 98, which was first introduced in the late 1800s and remained in production until the end of World War I. The Kar 98k's reliability and durability made it an ideal choice for German soldiers on the battlefield, who often had to rely on their rifle to get them through tight spots. The rifle's long stock also allowed for excellent accuracy at longer ranges, making it a favorite among snipers. The rifle is equipped with a combination scope sight that allows for accurate shooting out to 800 meters. The scope itself features a simple, rugged design that can withstand the rigors of battlefield use. A sling and cleaning kit are also included. In addition to its military service, the Kar 98k has seen action in various other conflicts around the world, including the Korean War and more recently in some African countries. Its reputation as a reliable and accurate rifle remains intact to this day.
