A Holder for a 200mm Wide Kapton Roll: Making Bubble-Free Adhesions on Heated Printer Beds. The device holds a 200mm wide kapton roll, allowing bubble-free adhesions to heated printer beds. It comprises hubs that fit onto the reel and brackets supporting the reel alongside a remote M8 threaded rod. Operating procedure involves pulling the tape from the reel, attaching it to the threaded rod. The glass is held up against the tape at the threaded end while the tape is pressed onto the glass. The tape is then progressively rubbed down on the glass from center to edge and from the threaded end to the reel. Cut the tape flush at each end, then secure with a squeegee to finish. Surprisingly effective results come from this technique, far exceeding several alternative methods tried including soap film. Printer Settings: Designing High-Quality Prints. Laser-cut DXF files for the baseboard are available. Insert a lock nut at each end of the threaded rod. Lock them securely into the brackets' pockets which house the locked nuts preventing the threaded rod from rotation. All the brackets have designated M4 nut slots. Fastening ideal screws to 9mm-thick bases, specifically designed M4x16 length fasteners are recommended for baseboard support.
