Kanom Thai // Thai Desserts

I'm super excited to share my entry for the #LowPolyDessertChallenge! This challenge was an absolute blast, and I have to admit that it was tough not to constantly snack while working on it. As a matter of fact, many people might be surprised to learn that I've got some Thai roots - my mom's side is half Thai! So, I thought it would be awesome to share some desserts from my childhood that might be unfamiliar to others. Desserts: Kanom Sai Sai: Inside the banana leaf pyramid lies a sweet coconut and palm sugar treat. It's a real showstopper! Kanom Tom: These chewy coconut balls in pink and green are covered in coconut flakes - they're simply irresistible! Kanom Bueang: This crispy pancake/crepe is loaded with coconut cream and toppings - it's a taste sensation like no other. Kanom Tako: Thai pudding/jelly gets a delicious makeover when topped with coconut cream, corn (or other variations), and wrapped in a little banana leaf square.
