The kanohi samut is based on some concept art from bionicle the game linked here: https://biosector01.com/wiki/File:BtG_Concept_Art_28.png. I don't know what character this was supposed to be, but the mask looked cool, so I modeled it. I was suggested to give this mask the power of limited invulnerability because of its resemblance to classic video game characters.
