KANI - The quadruped bot
cults3d
KANI is a close relative of KAME (or minikame), another four-legged robot that can be found here: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1265766. A huge thank-you to bbq3D (https://www.thingiverse.com/bbq3D/about) for his project and inspiration. However, the KANI project stands out with some notable features: All parts have been completely reengineered to simplify 3D printing: - Made from PLA, - Printed without support structures, - Built without adhesion borders. The source files are available in several formats: - f3d (Autodesk Fusion360), - obj (a 3D format for import/export), - stl (for 3D printing). No screws are needed to mount the articulation mechanism. The robot is centered around an ESP8266 and eight servo motors of type MG90S, which are made of metal, robust, and affordable. The system is powered by two Lithium batteries NCR18650B 3.7V 3400mAh and a 5V UBEC regulator. All documentation, 3D files, source code, diagrams, and photos can be found here: https://github.com/FredJ21/KANI_Quadruped_Bot
