Kanban Buckets

Kanban Buckets

I'm terrible at remembering tasks and chores that need to be done regularly, so I stumbled upon a clever video online for parents who want to help their kids stay on top of things by using jars for tracking tasks completed with lollipop sticks labeled "doing" and "done". It looks suspiciously like Kanban to me! I whipped up a simple setup today - a bucket on the left for tasks yet to be started, a small center one for those currently in progress, and another on the right for finished tasks. The idea is that once I've completed every task, I'll swap them all back to the "ready" bucket to ensure nothing falls through the cracks. I plan to hang it in my hallway so it's impossible to miss. The other advantage is that I can simply pick a few random tasks from the "ready" bucket, eliminating the need to decide what to do next. This should help prevent decision fatigue at least! I printed this model at 0.2mm resolution with a 0.6mm nozzle and 20% infill, resulting in fairly thin walls that can withstand some wear and tear but won't hold up to much punishment just yet. If you need it to be more durable, increasing the infill is definitely worth considering, although using a 0.4mm nozzle might not be necessary. Please let me know if you print this and I'll adjust the model to make the walls thicker if needed. Note: I have no idea what standard sizes of lollipop sticks are in different countries, but these ones are 11mm wide. The "doing" bucket is intentionally small so you can only fit a few tasks in at a time - keep that in mind before printing one as you might want to scale it up.
