Kammok tarps (Kuhli family and a bastard one that comes with Mantis) have "Hypalon reinforced" grommets for trekking poles. Sounds great, but aluminum backpacking tarp poles (10-12mm in diameter) will go straight through them, we these holes are way too large. This adapter will let you use tarp poles as intended without risking a sudden collapse of the tarp in the middle of the rain. Accepts poles with tips up to 7.5mm in diameter (which means "most of them") and "buttons" right into these Hypalon loops. Scale slightly up for a tighter fit on the tarp, scale slightly down for a tighter fit on a pole.
