Kali Necklace
thingiverse
Create a unique necklace for your Kali costume by using 3D printing technology. The skull was scanned using 123D Catch, then transformed into a bead via OpenScad. The bead features three faces and was further refined with MeshMixer to achieve a smooth finish. An OpenScad file was utilized to generate the texture for the beads by tweaking Emmet's stretchy bracelet file until satisfied. Once happy with the design, it was exported as an STL and imported into another file. The necklace was assembled using 14 large skull beads, 2 large ribbed beads, 2 small skull beads, 4 small ribbed beads, and a single three-faced bead at the bottom. However, the vampireSkull 0.2.stl file is not a bead but rather used in combination with OpenScad to generate the skull beads. The necklace took approximately a week to prototype and print, with each large skull bead taking around 3 hours and 20 minutes to print using white or natural ABS with 13% infill and a 0.25 layer height. Don't forget to spray paint the beads for that perfect finish! The OpenScad files will soon be uploaded for your convenience.
