The Pilot Kakuno stands out as an exceptional choice for new fountain pen enthusiasts, boasting a reputation that could be considered unmatched. However, it has a critical flaw - the absence of a pocket clip. Initially, I aimed to rework Brejikk's design into two distinct components. However, the potential strain on the parts in two separate axes hindered their ability to print with the required structural stability. Consequently, an entirely new design emerged, accompanied by multiple iterations for your selection preference. Regarding the clip... Print the component using PLA/ABS/PETG/etc with 100% infill and utilize supports. I personally prefer the 30mm long, full-strength version; yet, it's ultimately up to individual preference. The 40mm version reaches its maximum length without surpassing the cap size, while the 20mm version offers enhanced strength for thicker pockets or notepads. As for the ring... Print this component in a flexible filament with 100% infill. I opted for TPU, but any material exhibiting sufficient stretch to accommodate it would be suitable. The beveled version is gentler on hands, albeit potentially requiring one layer of supports for optimal tidiness. If you encounter any difficulties or successfully create one, please share your experience and post images! Kakuno's reputation remains unchallenged.
