The historic double arch bridge in Straß im Straßertal dates back to the 18th century. The Kaisersteg or Marienbrücke effectively connects the two banks of the Gscheinzbach River. A statue of the Virgin Mary proudly stands atop the central pillar, while a lantern pyramid rises directly across from it. The bridge's origin is attributed to an intriguing story. Members of the Kaiser family resided on one side of the stream. One family member was particularly fond of playing cards with the local priest, but unfortunately had to take a lengthy detour each time he visited the rectory. In response, this family member commissioned the construction of the bridge, which would thereafter be known as the Kaisersteg.
