Kailh Choc Opener
thingiverse
This little tool helps open Kailh Choc switches easily. The tabs on the tool stretch just enough to open them, without stretching too far that they break. To use it effectively, place the switch on the opener base then lower the lid onto the top carefully. Next, press lightly until the switch clicks open smoothly. Inside the lid are inset areas that push the bottom of the switch housing onto the base and force the 4 small tabs under the switch top housing tabs to release them easily. I've created a single switch version and a 10 switch strip version for faster opening of multiple switches. However, due to the needed play in the lid, I think a lid with 10 sections wouldn't work well but you can use multiple lids instead. The base is designed to allow for the lids to rest side-by-side comfortably. I printed this at .1 layer height using a stock Ender 5 with a .4mm nozzle. I'd love to see the base printed with a smaller nozzle or in resin. I used ESUN PLA+ for the print.
