Human: Helmet (Baldenheim type), metal, iron, Batajnica (Serbia), find from a warrior grave, middle of the 6th century. inv. br. S-38; early Middle Ages / Migration Period vis. about 32.5 cm; width of helmet rim: from 4.3 cm - 3.4 cm A Baldenheim-type helmet made of four bronze ridges with iron plates inserted between them, secured by rivets. A pointed plate is located at the top of the helmet. On each ridge are three perforated trapezoids, and each one has a horizontal line separating it. The interior of the trapezoid is decorated with perforated circles, while the exterior is surrounded by perforated fish scales.
