The Z-axis of the K8400 has no fixed reference point. The entire platform is supported by a flexible coupling. This design choice comes with its drawbacks, and there are many reasons why it's not ideal. This modification transforms the Z-axis from being unstable to being extremely stable. It provides a solid foundation for precise movement.
