I hacked my IKEA Dioder controller PCB to control my IKEA DIoder ledstrips with the Velleman K8400 Vertex 3D printer. The PCB has testpads that make it easy to solder on some wires. I reused the connectors, one five-pin and one four-pin, from the IKEA board. Now I can control colors and power from the LCD menu and from G-code, which is really nice. I can now have different colors for the outer and inner perimeter, finished and heating extruders. I shortened the wires from the ledstrips and made a cable from the five-pin IKEA connector to the twelve-pin on the Velleman board. One thing to watch out for is the color coding on the five-pin cable: blue wire signals red, green is blue, and red is green. If anyone wants one, I can sketch up a quick wiring diagram if the last picture isn't clear enough.
