It is well known that Vertex K8400 doesn't have a heated bed and is not even prepared for that. The original thinking was that Buildtak should solve the adhesion and stability, anyway.... the bed cannot be completely cold to have success, so a temporary or, for a 38-degree C heating proves that an Ikeea 60w bulb can do the job. It can work very well with PLA and flawlessly with Pet-G but is not enough for other filaments.... The support for the bulb is printed in PET-G and can be tight with nylon zip ties. A dimmer can be used to lower the temp after the layers have good adhesion. Also some sort of reflective protection under the light bulb (and bed!) like aluminium foil would help to keep temp up since the under fan keep blowing cold air. I use this with the provided glass & buildtak bed!!! *Don't forget to use the three-wire cable with the ground!
