Initially, I encountered issues with my motor stepper drivers overheating during prolonged prints. These drivers switch to emergency mode upon overheating, disabling micro-stepping and operating only on full steps, which often leads to ruined prints due to lost cohesion along the axis and potential damage to the object. To solve this problem, I repurposed a radial 80mm fan from a PC's slot attachment by removing it, attaching it to the frame near the controller board using zip ties and drilled holes. An old 12V power supply was utilized for the fan, and its outlet blew air through the piggyback-tunnel where the stepper drivers were mounted. I plan to design a PCB cover with matching air intakes to further enhance cooling if necessary.
