K8200 filament spool spindle
thingiverse
I was looking for a filament spool spindle filler that could fit right onto my K8200 without having to unscrew the end screw and couldn't find anything online. So, I developed these hinged ones that you can use straight off the printer bed. They worked perfectly on their first print with 30% infill and 0.25mm layer height and have a pretty good stiff feel about them. All you need is a kitchen knife to gently pry the jaws apart without too much force. You'll also need to rotate the STL file by 180 degrees when printing it out and use supports everywhere in Cura. I'm happy to modify this design to fit different spindle or shaft sizes. Mine's a bit loose on Velleman standard reels, so I might post another soon. It currently works with the standard 6mm shaft that came with my K8200. I used Freecad to create this design because it's super easy to change and modify - it's a parametric modelling tool that makes everything super simple.
