K8200 anti-vibration Foot

thingiverse

I am inspired by this project:http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:198015 and decided to create something of my own. So far, this thing has not been used but it prints extremely well given the speed at which it is printed. Damping-foot for a K8200-3D-Printer or other 3D-Printer with a foot-diameter of forty millimeters. Also, for other applications where the decoupling of vibrations is required, this thing could be very useful. (For other applications, an adapter-thing could possibly be designed.) The specific spring-damping-characteristic is not provided but you can change it by injecting the "stiffness-creator" part. It's also possible to take your own stiffness-creator which should have a width of 9.5 millimeters and height of about ten millimeters, or inject a small piece of viscoelastic material. The functionality of the "stiffnesscreator" part is actually a coupling of the upper four-way-spring-mechanism with the lower-leaf-spring, which gives more spring-stiffness if needed. Now I'm going to give you some instructions that you will have to follow in order to make this project: First layer_height should be set at 0.20. Then, perimeters should be three. After that, top_solid_layers should be five and bottom_solid_layers should also be five. Furthermore, fill_density should be one and perimeter_speed should be thirty. Lastly, infill_speed should be fifty and travel_speed should be a hundred. When you start to print, nozzle_diameter should be 0.5 and filament_diameter should be 2.86. In addition to that, extrusion_multiplier should also be 1.00. Then perimeters_extrusion_width should be set at 0.50mm, infill_extrusion_width also at 0.50mm, solid_infill_extrusion_width should be the same at 0.50mm, top_infill_extrusion_width as well, support_material_extrusion_width also needs to be 0.50mm.
