I streamlined the geometry to eliminate unnecessary manifold faces, ensuring the geometry is pristine and the centre of rotation aligns seamlessly with the original kit piece. To maximize versatility, I recessed the screw, enabling the reuse of screws and washers from the Velleman kit, assuming the 3Drag employs similar hardware components. The precise distance of the shaft from the frame was verified to match http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:232446 (and my own meticulous rework http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:443084). The accompanying image demonstrates a crucial modification, showcasing the same object equipped with an additional bearing situated beneath it to safeguard against accidental axis dislodgement from the bearing holder. This measure ensures robust stability even during utilisation as a small CNC router. A critical caveat must be noted - following extended use of over several hours, my print exhibited signs of delamination. I promptly rectified this issue by reattaching the components and incorporating a zip tie to secure it in place vertically. In anticipation of future applications, I intend to bolster this setup further, potentially exploring means for integrating the zip tie as an integral part of the design.
