This is a modified version of the excellent design from donboy's website, specifically Thingiverse thing:222245. The original designers have crafted two ten-by-two millimeter trapezoidal threaded rods with unique properties that caught my attention: they offer superior rigidity and boast an impressive pitch of two millimeters for their round steps/mm number. However, please note that this modification is designed only for the altered pieces, so be sure to access donboy's files for all other necessary parts. To better appreciate the assembly, I recommend opening up the attached images and studying the complete frame layout. Instructions: For optimal results, I have printed all components using ABS plastic with 60% infill density for larger parts and 100% fill ratio for smaller ones. Here is a list of required materials: 2 x Trapezoidal spindles (400 mm length, ten-by-two millimeter pitch, square nut included, sourced on Ebay) 1 x Five-by-ten millimeter flexible coupling piece 6 x M3 by eight millimeter screws for pulley mounting 2 x Twelve-millimeter long M3 screws for right-hand nut holder attachment 5 x Metric vises with five-by-ten millimeter threads 2 x Eighteen-by-thirty millimeter bolts paired with four washers each (for specific connections) 6 x Eight-by-thirty millimeter flat washers 2 x Twenty-two by eight millimeter 608-style ball bearings 3 x Nineteen-by-ten millimeter 61800-series ball bearings 1 x Customized closed toothed belt, seven hundred seventy-five millimeters long, with five-by-eight millimeter pitch specifications available on Zahnriemen24.de In constructing this build, I chose to mount the horizontal top bar first and attached the angle brackets beneath. By doing so, I was able to gain approximately two centimeters of height for my z-axis motor setup.
