K8200 / 3Drag dual Z-Axis
thingiverse
An alternative dual z-axis system is available for Velemann K8200 and 3Drag printers, ensuring no space loss during Z movement. The following parts are required: a Neopren 506-XL-037 belt, 626-2Z bearings, and an 8mm spring for the dual z arm. The end support can be sourced from Thingiverse (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:175137), while the arm features a backlash eliminator inspired by another Thingiverse design (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:235494). Slicing should be done with Cura for the inner diameter and Slic3r for other dimensions. This setup is optimized for inner diameter issues. A new dual span V2.1 8mm version offers easier tension adjustments, smooth movement at 10mm/min to 300mm/min speeds, and a printed end support and holder should have increased infill (at least 25%). An optional arm for a 17mm nut is available, but users should check before printing. A longer Z bar, approximately 420mm active and 430mm passive, is also required. A potential alternative belt spanner can be found on Thingiverse (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:979044).
