ClipOn Fan Mount for Standard 5015s (50x15mm) Centrifugal Fans Used in Many Modern 3D Printers Like the Prusa i3 MK2 The standard fan mount that comes with the K8200 kit is woefully inadequate, providing unfocused part cooling. Radial fans have become increasingly popular due to their compact design and higher air pressure output. The ClipOn Fan Mount is angled to get as close as possible to the E3D Extruder without cooling the hot end or bed unnecessarily. Tiny slots in the mount force the slicing software to generate more material in certain areas, resulting in extra rigidity for the mount. This mount should fit the standard K8200 hot-end (though it has not been tested). Assembly and Connection: In addition to the fan itself, you will need two M4 20mm hex screws with M4 nuts. Press the clip onto the Z-axis aluminum profile; it will make a tight snap, fit securely, and lock into place. Electrically connect the new fan in the same manner as the old one. Print Settings: Printer: Prusa i3 MK2 Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.20mm Infill: 15-20% Notes: A PETG filament was used for this particular version; however, most filaments should work well with this design. Print settings include two perimeters, three top layers, and two bottom layers, with a triangle infill pattern.
