K8200 / 3DRAG Central Z-Axis

This collection of components replaces the conventional Z-axis setup of 3Drag / K8200 with a central Z axis. This is an adaptation of sgabolab's design. You can find it at http://sgabolab.blogspot.com/p/blog-page_16.html, but I modified it because not all parts were compatible or readily available. The new setup includes a gear that offers a 1:4.3 transmission ratio, which significantly enhances the precision of the Z-axis. A trapezoidal spindle TR8-1.5 is utilized in this modification. To complete it, you will need several components: M4 screws with corresponding nuts, three ball bearings model 608, three 6-Kant (SW 17) spindlemutter specifically designed for TR8-1.5 (available at http://www.metallbau-pietrzak.de/shop/product_info.php/products_id/5350), a single 500mm TR8-1.5 spindle, and an additional pinion with 10 teeth intended for the extruder motor (the original model). Following the construction process, you must adjust the steps per mm. You can achieve a rough approximation using RepetierHost's super tool, based on a ratio of 1:4.3. A cover is also included among the components but it's not essential for the Z-axis modification as I utilized it in my specific housing design where the spindle needs to protrude from above. Hopefully, this will assist you further in refining your 3D printing capabilities. You can access the Autodesk Inventor files for this project under Downloads. After incorporating these changes, my prints have shown significant improvement with no jams occurring.
