A newer version of the mic arm addon is available for my AKG K7XX with my Sony ECMCS3 mic, a design upgrade from my previous model. Check it out here: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2481074 This updated version is heavier but features a removable mic with cables, allowing me to detach them anytime and use the headphones independently. Like its predecessor, this version will still scratch the plastic on the K7XX where the attachment clips on. However, it comes in two versions - one with friction fit and another with gears. Both require specific parts: - 1x M2 12mm - 1x M3 12mm - Nuts are optional for the gear version; 1x M2 nuts are required for the friction version - The gear version needs extra M2 12mm, while the friction version requires a M2 8mm To ensure stability and durability, I recommend using lock tight on the side swivel joints and cable sleeves. Printing parts hotter will produce stronger results. This design should work with K702, K701, or similar style headphones. Wire can be routed through the slots; I used blu tack and sewing thread to hold it in place, looping the mic wire around the side swivel joint. The mic holder connector attaches to the side swivel arm with a 5.2mm diameter; if you prefer to create your own mic holder, this information will come in handy. Update: May 16, 2018 A desk clamp attachment has been added: - The desk clamp and screw can be printed with 20-25% infill - The side sliding clamp screw should be printed with 100% infill - The rest of the parts have been printed with 45%, but it's fine to print them from 30% upwards Update: April 21, 2019 An attachment for the Mpow 2 in 1 Bluetooth receiver/transmitter has been added.
