Simple 'House' shaped support that sits on your K40 gantry. This means it doesn't matter if your K40 base isn't level, you just print 4 pieces of 15x15mm angle and place them on top as per the image. You can then put the material directly on the angles allowing a 5mm cut or add an expanding 2mm sheet that gives you a perfect base for most common 3mm materials.
