K40 Sealed Water Reservoir Ports
thingiverse
I crafted these 5 components for the 5-gallon bucket that I used as a water reservoir for my K40 laser. My aim was to secure a tight seal so dust from other tools like my CNC router wouldn't contaminate the water. The holes for the water tubes measure 9.5 mm in diameter, providing a snug fit that required lubricating the tubes with water to facilitate smooth passage through. A 5/8 inch drill bit made cleaning the holes and inserting the tubes much easier. I was pleasantly surprised by how well the two halves of each component threaded onto the nut for the power cable and held it securely in place. I'm extremely pleased with the outcome, and I uploaded the entire power port (labeled Pump Port) in case someone wants to modify it and split it themselves. I printed the nuts flat on the bed and the water ports standing upright with the bottom of the threaded area touching the build plate.
