K40 laser targeting ring
thingiverse
This is a targeting ring for the K40 laser cutter that attaches with commonly available magnets. Light from LEDs is reflected through the mirrors and lens onto the cutting area. When properly positioned in the opening between the laser tube compartment and the cutting area, a ring of dots will appear around where the laser is aimed. I have seen several similar contraptions, but they were all designed around magnets that had been extracted from old electronics (hard drives, VCRs, etc), which are next to impossible to match perfectly without knowing the exact model they came out of.
