K40 Laser Gauge Case
thingiverse
I designed this case to hold an ammeter for my K40 laser engraver. I wanted to be able to read the laser tube and power supply gauges from a distance instead of hovering the machine. You could also use this to add additional temp gauges for your water reservoir and the laser compartment. These temp gauges need batteries, so I left the fit fairly loose so they can be removed easily. Some tape or glue on the backside will secure them if needed. Also, I didn't put any holes in the base for wires since the gauge placement on K40 lasers isn't standard - you'll need to cut/drill your own. I used this ammeter from Amazon - I'd probably use a 20mA meter if I were buying again. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07F26M6M2 I also found the exact same LCD temp gauges that came with my K40 here: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07VNVL8HG I printed the one in the photo face down with minimal supports on the two edges by the build plate. If I were to print this again, I'd try upright with a support blocker to restrict supports to the top only. The base has pockets for 3mm hex nuts to drop in. You could also use 4mm screws which should self-tap.
