K40 laser cutter interlock cover and block
thingiverse
I installed a cover interlock on my K40 laser cutter, a Chinese-made machine that features an integrated cover prop design. To implement this safety feature, I utilized a RadioShack SPDT Switch with roller lever as the interlock switch and securely attached it to the side of the cutter using double-sided tape. The switch is connected in series with the flow monitoring switch I had previously installed on the system. Both the cover and activation block are mounted firmly in place using double-sided tape.
