check version 2 I found that the original design and manufacturing of the original K40 laser Carriage is not so good I made a first version : https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4738689 but after many versions i designed this one : I designed a new carriage in two parts : 1) the base with 3 pulleys sliding on the X axis.Initially I designed it with 4 pulley as in the original design.I found that 3 rollers it is enough and easier to mount and dismount. There is no slack between the carriage and the rail. The rear roller is mounted on a slot so it can be adjusted to the rail. Each roller is mounted on a spring and a maintained with a self-locking bolt.By turning the bolt it is possible to adjust the height of the laser support. There is also a 5 mm hole for the air assist tube. I made it with a copper tube that is connected to an old fridge compressor . This compressor is very quiet and powerful and most of all it costed nothing as I stealed it from an old fridge. 2) the laser head support is bolted on top of the bas and can be adjusted horizontally. In the front there is a support for a 6mm laser diode On the back there is a little hole for an height gauge with a sprint in order th have an exact focus of the laser beam A chain to drive the pointer 5v and the air assist silicon tube can be attached on the vertical support Material used 3 screws M5x30 with Flat head 3 spring 5 x 15 3 M5 bolts with washer 3 M5 bolts self-locking 1 diode laser 5v diam 6mm 3 rollers with bearing Int Diam 5 / Ext diam 15 1 copper tube 3mm x 10
