K40 Laser - Arduino based adjustable "Hub Table" Panel with OLED Display and LED powerpanel
thingiverse
I created a new panel for my K40 Laser, incorporating several essential components: an LED power panel, all buttons, and a 0.96" OLED display driven by my Arduino-controlled HubTable. The system also features a switch for the air assist function. This add-on builds upon the existing design found at https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2731038, which I've modified to accommodate the new panel. My project is still a work in progress and can be viewed in its current state on YouTube at https://youtu.be/TlZPUIvakcg. The Arduino sketch for this project has been included. The used libraries are: * AH_Pololu * Adafruit_GFX * Adafruit_ssd1306 The panel features three buttons: one for UP, one for DOWN, and one to set the value to 0. A potentiometer is incorporated to adjust the speed down to a single step with a single push. I've utilized M8x1.25 spindles with 720 steps per 360° for precise adjustments. The display shows the exact position relative to the last reset to 0. The maximum possible motor speed is limited by the performance of the graphics output, but it's sufficient for my needs. Perhaps an enhancement can be made in future leisure time. Pressing the zero button simultaneously with UP or DOWN will prevent the display refresh for long-distance runs. The circuit is designed specifically for use with the Arduino NANO.
